10/27/2007 Hello Everyone Hello Everyone Due to the weather we are
unable to have our fireworks show this evening. It is a tough decision
that we must make more than a day in advance so we try to make the right
choice using the best possible weather forecasting we have and hope that
it was the right one. Again we apologize and look forward to trying
again next year. Poughquag Farm News If the rain is not too hard, we
still plan to have our flashlight night cornmaze walk through this
evening in Poughquag. We do ask that you call ahead to ensure that we
are open. The phone number is 845-227-2306. Our Poughquag corn maze will
also be open next weekend November 2nd and 3rd for flashlight nights on Friday and Saturday
and it will also be open during the day on Saturday and Sunday November
3rd and 4th. Next
weekend we will be offering a reduced admission to our maze and also
there will be no admission fee to enter the farm.
Halloween Costume
Contest and Parade in Poughquag October 28th We want everyone to visit
us tomorrow for our annual Halloween Costume Contest and Parade. We have
been hosting this event for many years and this year since we missed out
on it today we are going to be offering extra prizes! There are
different age groups with cash prizes for each group. Everyone that does
take part does get something! This event is tomorrow Sunday the 28th at
2:00 PM. Come on out in your best Halloween costumes!
Fishkill Farm News This is the last weekend for our Fishkill Farm
Corn Maze to be open. Our farm stand will be open and there will be
apple picking through November 4th. |
9/27/2007 Hello Everyone We are going to be having our flashlight
nights for our corn maze in Poughquag only this season. Every Friday and
Saturday starting on September 28th. It opens at
dusk and the last tickets are sold at 9:00 PM. The haunted house will
also be open at night. This weekend we also will have a free T-shirt
giveaway sponsored by Westchester Ford and Ford New Holland. These are
limited edition Pirate Corn maze T-shirts. |
8/31/2007 Hello Everyone Every year I am
amazed at how fast the summer goes and we find ourselves back at harvest
time. To help kick off our fall harvest season, this weekend only we have free admission to our Poughquag farm!
In Poughquag you can
pick apples (paula red, ginger gold and early gold), In our vegetable garden we have tomatoes, beautiful red peppers, eggplants
and more. We also have grape and raspberry picking! All weekend long
their are free hayrides for the family, inflatable bouncers, live
entertainment and much more! At our Fishkill farm we have free admission
and we are picking the following apples paula red, ginger
gold, and early gold. Besides the produce that we have there is also our two
huge corn mazes to go through! We hope to see you all out here
this weekend. |

conditions we are only going to be opening our Poughquag Corn Maze this
weekend. We are going to also be charging only half price admission. We

7/22/2007 Hello Everyone We are now picking
peaches at both of our farms! Our Fishkill farm is open from 9-5 daily
for peaches and we are also open in Poughquag for peaches and limited
garden vegetables. Please call ahead for exact availability. If you are
interested in berry picking you can call ahead to check on our
availability for these in Poughquag. |

know that we have Christmas trees at all three of the farm stands.
Our
Lagrange location is open daily from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M. We will close
on Christmas Eve at 4 P.M
Our
Fishkill location is
open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. daily. We will close on Christmas Eve at 4
P.M
Our
Poughquag
location is open weekends 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. and weekdays from 2 P.M. to 6
P.M. We will close on Saturday the 23rd at 6 P.M
4 to 10 feet tall Balsam Firs are available at
all locations with taller trees (up to 16 feet) at the Poughquag farm.
6 to 8 feet tall Douglas Firs are available at
all locations. These are beautiful and extremely full natural
trees.
6 to 9 feet Fraser Firs are available at all
locations. We have the largest selection of tall Fraser Firs in the
area.
There is Hot Cider is available at all three
locations.
After Christmas Eve all of our locations will
be closed until we reopen Lagrange and Fishkill in the spring and
Poughquag will open in July.

11/03/2006 Hi Everyone! We have decided to
keep our Fishkill farm stand open until the end of the year! This
weekend November 4th and 5th is the last one for our Fishkill Mega Corn
Maze. It will be only $5.00 and that will of course include our big
slide! The Mega Corn maze will be open from 10-4 both days. We hope to
see you there! PS Our farm in Poughquag is closed for the season. |
10/27/2006 Hello Everyone. Great News!! We have
been able to reschedule our 1st annual Harvest Finale! We are going to
host it on Halloween night starting at dusk at our
Poughquag location.
There will be a free super fireworks show at 8:00 put on by
Garden State
Fireworks which has over 110 years of experience in the business. We
will also have reduced prices for the Field of Screams at Barton
Orchards which offers two haunted houses a scary corn maze (one
flashlight for each party) and the haunted
hay ride. We have also decided to make this night of the Field of
Screams "little" kid friendly so even the younger ones will have a great
time. The price will be $5 for adults and children. There
will have a a Halloween costume contest at 7:45 PM with prizes for the best
costumes. Everyone that enters will get something! We will also have
Shadow Creek performing live music from 6 to 9 pm! There will also be a lot
of end of season sales to be found. Including 50% off of Halloween
decorations and 25% off selected items in our Farm Market. Our
concession stand will also be open that night serving up soups, hot dogs and
more! We will also have fresh popcorn and cotton
candy for the show, and if its cold out you can get hot chocolate and
cider. We look forward to seeing everyone that night for this fun
family event! |

saddened to announce that we will not be able to have our 1st annual
Harvest Finale due to
serious weather conditions forecasted for Saturday. Our farm will be
open however the fireworks are cancelled. The band will not be playing and most likely all of our
bouncers, pony rides etc will not be running this also includes our
Halloween costume contest and parade. The farm markets will be open. We
will be open as usual on Sunday the 29th. Please call ahead if you plan
on trying to visit us on Saturday. As always we thank you all for coming out to visit

Everyone! It has been nice to see so many familiar faces this year. Some
of our customers have been with us since we opened in 1993. Each year we
try to add something new that we think people will enjoy and this year
is no exception! This year we have now started offering fresh homemade
cheese cake made locally right here in the Hudson Valley. This year we
also have bigger and better corn mazes that have been shown in a New
York Times article. As always we thank you all for coming out to visit

on these days it is hard to keep up! We have our huge new corn mazes
opening soon. One is at our new farm in Fishkill and opens August 5th

Poughquag in September. Our season has been going great so far with some
vegetables already available

here for info) and more coming shortly. We also have fresh Dutchess
county grown sweet corn available at all three of our locations! If you
missed out on the raspberries don't worry! We have more growing and they
will be ready sometime in August. Until then we will be working
hard to get both farms open for the grand openings and we cant wait to

Our new farm will now be known as Barton Orchards at Fishkill Farms and
will open this coming season. The Barton Family is excited about the
opportunity to be part of this well known and loved pick your own farm
in Southern Dutchess County. We are currently in the process of setting
up the farm for the season with some very exciting new events and
