Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, Barton Orchards is now dog friendly. Be advised that dogs must be registered, collared and leashed, except when in our dog park. Owners must clean up after their dogs whether in the parking lot, on the farm, or in the dog park.

Can I bring outside food or beverages?

As a venue open to the public, Barton's provides ample amounts of beverages. Some of these include beer, wine, and hot/cold drinks. No public coolers, food, and bottles are allowed onto the property.

Can I bring my own wagon?

Yes, you can bring your own wagon. Barton Orchards does have wagons on hand to use around the orchard, however, we tend to run out quickly. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to ride in the wagons.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we offer free wi-fi for you to use when you are at the orchard.

Do you have restrooms?

Yes, we have restrooms on site. In fact, Barton Orchards has a building off of the Midway devoted solely to restrooms with flush toilets. For those parents with children still in the diaper stage, we have a diaper changing station.

Can you get to Barton's via train? Is there a taxi or shuttle service?

Barton Orchards is best reached via car (we are located just outside town of Beekman, next to Dalton Farms Community). The closest Metro North Train station is Pawling - a 15 minute drive away and the Poughkeepsie station is around 40 minutes. Pawling has local taxi services - Google for listings.

What is there to do on the farm with my children?

Barton Orchards offers unlimited hayrides with your admission along with entertainment, a hay maze, playground, shooting gallery, duck races and gem stone mining bags for purchase. Active children, teenagers, and adults definitely enjoy weekends in the Fun Zone or wandering the corn maze. There is plenty of walking trails, animals to feed, and sunshine! You'll get a good scare at the haunted house - suitable for ages 6 and up.

The farm has rules, and security checking bags and backpacks. Why?

Barton Orchards has rules for your safety, as well as liability. Venues open to the public should provide a clean, friendly environment. Our security asks to check your bags - this is posted on the website and upon admissions. Unfortunately, theft is an issue. The farm spends months planting and tending to provide bountiful crops, at great expense, to cover a short harvest season. Our staff thrives on making your visit an enjoyable one!

Is there a charge for parking?

No, at Barton Orchards we don't charge for parking.
